Affiliate links are marked “Ad”. A link without that mark is an ordinary link and earns us nothing. Either way you land on the same booking page.

Commission does not decide the order

Hotels are ordered by how much published material exists about them and how much of our own writing a page carries. Booking sites are ordered by the reference rate and by how reliably the partnership works — never by the commission rate. We do not move a hotel or a booking site up because it pays more.

On the English pages, the booking sites you can complete a reservation in English are listed first. That is a language decision, not a commercial one.

About the prices

Every rate shown was retrieved from the named service on the date stated, in Japanese yen. It is not a live rate, and it is not converted into another currency — converting it would mean inventing a number of our own. What you actually pay depends on your dates, the number of guests and the plan, so check the booking site for the current figure. We never display a price we have not retrieved.

Our coverage is not for sale

We do not score hotels. What we publish is a record of what the available stay reports and videos actually discuss. No partnership changes that record.
