An inn of separate buildings on the Natori River at Akiu Onsen, about 15 minutes by car from the Sendai-minami interchange of the Tohoku Expressway and about 40 minutes from central Sendai, with a shuttle bus from the east exit of JR Sendai Station by reservation. The rooms combine Japanese and Western styles, some with open-air baths, and it faces the gorge.
Who it suits
Suits a stay in a separate building by the Akiu gorge, in a room with an open-air bath. The shuttle from Sendai Station makes it easy without a car.
