Aman Tokyo: space, and time spent in the hotel
Aman Tokyo occupies the upper floors of Otemachi Tower and was Aman’s first city hotel. Its signature is a lobby about 30 metres high, finished in washi paper and stone and kept deliberately dark. Every room is a suite; even the smallest, the Garden View Suite, is 71 sqm.
Breakfast and the wellness floor — a 30-metre indoor pool and Japanese baths — are included in the rate, so the more of your stay you spend inside the hotel, the more you get from it.
Bulgari Hotel Tokyo: Tokyo Station on the doorstep, and the house style
Bulgari Hotel Tokyo is on the upper floors of Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, reached directly from the Yaesu South exit of Tokyo Station. Its interiors, by an Italian design team, carry the Bulgari look straight into the rooms.
In guests’ stay reports the restaurant and bar take up much of the story, so plan to have dinner in. It holds three Michelin Keys for 2026, and both the hotel and its spa have five Forbes stars.
