  An amazing hotel is beautiful rooms, incredibly kind/helpful staff, and a wonderful mission to reinvigorate Ozu. This is the peak of relaxed luxury with great amenities, high-end dining, and a great club lounge. Will definitely seek out more Nipponia properties!

  I had read positive reviews and watched youtube videos about this castle town hotel, so I decided to give it a try. Well, you should definitely try it once—it’s amazing! The hotel offers a tranquil retreat, with a quiet and subdued bar. The rooms are spacious, featuring a two-story, one-room house or studio. The room is large enough to comfortably accommodate a family of four. However, the bathroom and toilet are on the ground floor, requiring you to walk downstairs and climb back to the bedroom. This can be inconvenient for families with small children due to the steep stairs, and it’s not suitable for those with mobility issues, especially those in wheelchairs. Remember, this is an old house that has been renovated and converted into a hotel. Oh, and there’s no TV in the rooms—back to basics and enjoy the peaceful environment. I opted for the room package with dinner, and it was splendid. It’s okay to splurge once in a while, and the meals were delicious and well-prepared. The service was excellent throughout the stay 😍 The morning breakfast was also great. The chef prepared an easy-to-enjoy Japanese breakfast, which I thoroughly enjoyed - oishii desu 🥰 I recommend coming early to the town to enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding the area. I’ll write a separate review about it. The staff is fantastic. You’ll see them at the front desk, in the dinner restaurant, and at the breakfast areas. They handle multitasking like an army team, providing excellent service 👍👍Some of them even offer complimentary chauffeur services to drop you off at the train station if you need it.

  Lovely stay in the heart of Ozu. NIPPONIA beautifully restores historic old houses and turns them into unique boutique hotel spaces. The price felt very reasonable considering the facilities, comfort, and the size of the room we received. I slept like a baby for whole night. The food was incredible—beautifully presented and full of flavour—and the service was excellent from start to finish. Truly a memorable experience. Highly recommend staying here and take the dinner and breakfast too if you’re visiting Ozu.
