About this hotel
A resort hotel on the coast at Nanki-Shirahama, about ten minutes by car from JR Shirahama Station (free shuttle bus) and about ten minutes from Nanki-Shirahama Airport. Most rooms are ocean-view suites, and guests can use the Shirahama hot spring. Meals are mainly buffet-style. Nanki-Shirahama is known for Shirarahama Beach and its hot springs, about an hour from Haneda by air.
Who it suits
Suits a stay in an ocean-view suite on the Nanki-Shirahama coast, with the hot spring and buffet dining. The airport and station are both close, so even a short trip by air from Haneda is easy.

Came for the small art exhibits and history. Better options elsewhere. However, the hotel location is a nice spot for photos.
Read the full review on Google MapsThe "King's Buffet" at Kawakyuu is the real deal! We had both breakfast and dinner, and both were excellent. There's a great selection of Japanese and Western dishes. It's said that many Japanese hotels are known for their individual curry recipe, and Kawakyuu's - a deep, demi-glace based gravy with large chunks of tender-stewed beef - was delicious. The onsen was also very refined, with relaxing views over the sea and a range of different baths. My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay here and would return again.
Read the full review on Google MapsOverall a beautiful place to visit and the service is very good. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was some of the other guests there. There was an unpleasant boy that was really loud and annoying with no parents around to guide him. As well as another guest that was a adult male that during dinner service gave my family angry looks and had the nerve to talk bad about my family member loud enough that I could hear him. I expected classy people staying at an expensive high end hotel that have good manners. Not sure I would return again because of the other bothersome guests.
