  This was the most relaxing place to spend a couple of days. The rooms were peaceful and the staff was very accommodating. We appreciated their attention to detail in everything. The town was wonderful to walk around in. We loved going into all the shops and eating at the small restaurants. Most of the town is cash only, so make sure to bring some so you can fully experience the town and onsens.

  It was my partner and I’s first time experiencing a ryokan and the service was phenomenal. Everything felt so special and intimate from check in, to being served dinner in our room, which was very spacious. The futon was also surprisingly very comfortable as well! The garden was absolutely stunning and the koi fish were beautiful. All of the staff was super friendly and it was very easy to communicate with the staff to book the private onsen beforehand as well, and they even provided a shuttle to and from the other location. Would definitely love to visit and stay again in the future!

  I wish I could give a higher rating! We stayed for our honeymoon in 2024. This year we stayed at their sister hotel Shogetsutei. Both are lovely places, but Nishimuraya Honkan just has an extra layer of luxury, tradition and Japanese hospitality that no other has. The garden is such a treat to walk in and the onsen is amazing. Staying here truly is an experience that I wish all visitors to Kinosaki Onsen can have.
