Luxury ryokan and hotels in Arima and Kobe

Arima Onsen lies on the north side of the Rokko mountains, and Kobe is the port city on the other side. Both are close to Osaka, which makes it easy to combine a hot spring and a city walk in a single night.

Arima is one of Japan’s oldest hot-spring towns, and its inns range from places in the middle of the onsen streets to quieter ones on the edge. Kobe’s hotels suit a stay built around the harbour and the city’s restaurants.
