We had a wonderful stay here (4 nights) and wouldn't hesitate to return. Location is fantastic and within walking distance to so much. The complimentary shuttle to the station was very useful and we never had to wait to use it. I have to say the staff here impressed me the most. They were very attentive, for instance at breakfast my husband asked for milk with his coffee on the first morning and every morning after that they brought him cream anticipatorily. This may seem small but so many hotels don't pay attention to these little details. We did the course menu at Sonorite and the chef came out at the end and chatted with us, and explained some of the menu choices. The employee that helped us during checkout (I didn't catch his name but he is from Nepal) was very personable and helpful. As a Hilton Gold member we were given an upgrade up one room category (our stay was during the week so it might've been lower occupancy), but the room turned out to be huge for Japanese standards. There was some wear and tear, but the size of the room more than made up for any of that in my opinion. The only negative was that after the first night the air conditioning turned to heating and when my husband asked the reception about it because the room was becoming scalding hot they said another guest complained it was too cold so they turned the heat on and the air system is all operated in room blocks. So because one guest complained, we had to suffer the consequences. Luckily the balcony doors had screens so we could leave that open for some fresh air, but I would have much rather had an individually controlled air unit or that the hotel not just cater to one guest over others. Aside from that, it's a cozy property and gets a lot of things right. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
Read the full review on Google MapsStayed here for 3 nights. We chose this hotel primarily for the room and overall brand reputation. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite align with the glowing reviews about exceptional service. We didn’t encounter particularly warm or attentive staff during our stay. Each time we drove out and returned, we were asked what we were here for, which felt surprising for a property positioned as a five-star hotel. A more personalized approach and better guest recognition would have elevated the experience. The onsen facilities were decent, but maintenance could be improved. During my three consecutive visits (one each night), I noticed the same piece of tissue floating in the pool, which raised some concerns about cleaning frequency. The most memorable service moment came from an elderly Japanese gentleman who assisted us with our luggage and parking upon arrival — he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. On the other hand, during check-out, a male staff member at the lobby saw us carrying our luggage but did not offer assistance, which was disappointing. Overall, if you are looking for a functional stay or something closer to a business hotel experience, this property may work. However, if you are expecting warm hospitality and five-star attentiveness, it may not fully meet those expectations.
Read the full review on Google MapsMy family and I stayed at your hotel from February 6th to 8th, and from the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and well cared for. On the day we checked out, there was unexpectedly heavy snowfall. My car does not have snow tires, and I had never driven in such severe snow conditions before. We were planning to slowly make our way to the JR station, leave the car there, return to Tokyo by train, and come back for the car once the weather improved. While we were checking out, the staff member at the entrance kindly asked about our plans. After seeing the road conditions, he advised us that driving to the station would be unsafe. He generously offered to let us leave the car at the hotel and arranged for the hotel vehicle to take us safely to the station instead. His thoughtful support made what could have been a very stressful situation much easier for our family. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name at the time, and when I later returned to pick up the car, I forgot to ask again. I truly hope this message can reach him and convey how grateful we are for his kindness and professionalism. We were also very pleased to receive a room upgrade, which made our stay even more comfortable and memorable. This was honestly the best Hilton experience I have had. Thank you again for everything your team did for us. We look forward to staying with you again in the future.
