Overview

About this hotel

The brand’s first hotel in Japan, on the upper floors of the Umekita development. It faces the park created in the redevelopment north of Grand Front Osaka, so there is greenery below you in the middle of Umeda.

Who it suits

Connected to the Osaka Station area, which keeps the moving around to a minimum. It opened recently, so the stay reports are still few, but what there is keeps returning to the bar and the afternoon tea.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. We just stayed at the newly remodeled Waldorf in NYC and despite it’s history, it pales in comparison to this beautiful property. The service was absolutely impeccable as well. The new GM (Fabien Gastinel) met us as we were leaving to head back to Tokyo. When he heard our flight from Tokyo to DFW was severely delayed, he offered to coordinate keeping our bags at the Conrad in Tokyo so we could enjoy a bonus day shopping. Thanks to Fabien, the day was truly memorable. A great GM creates a culture centered around the client. Fabien’s impact can be felt throughout the property. Book this hotel now!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Osaka as the third and final stop of our two-week trip to Japan. We had stayed at other wonderful hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto, but I was taken by the beauty of the Waldorf from the moment we arrived, and it quickly became a highlight of our entire trip. What truly set our stay apart, though, was the exceptional team. From the moment we arrived, Hinano at the front desk, with the thoughtful oversight of Front Desk Manager Yukari Ose, went to special lengths to make our stay feel extra special in celebration of our wedding anniversary. Their warmth and attention to detail made an impression on us immediately. That level of hospitality continued throughout our stay. Chief Concierge Yuriko Maeda went above and beyond to secure a very special reservation that we had been unable to arrange ourselves, and we were incredibly grateful for her help. Mai in the fitness facility took the time to write out a list of her personal recommendations for us to explore locally, and Takuya at the bar also shared some of his favorite local spots. These thoughtful, personal touches made us feel genuinely cared for and gave us a wonderful sense of Osaka beyond the hotel itself (Osaka is amazing!) The Waldorf Astoria Osaka is an extraordinarily beautiful property, but it was the people who made our stay so memorable. To the management team: you should be incredibly proud of the level of hospitality your team provides. Every interaction felt warm, gracious, and sincere. Thank you for an unforgettable end to our trip and for making our anniversary so special. This is a stay we will be thinking about for years to come, and we very much hope to return.

Our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Osaka was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, and the level of service truly stood out. The hotel itself is beautiful, elegant, and extremely well maintained. We especially loved the pool and spa area, everything was spotless, peaceful, and beautifully designed. It was the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring Osaka. My wife and I both absolutely loved our stay. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, and the staff consistently went the extra mile to make our visit special. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend the Waldorf Astoria Osaka to anyone visiting the city.
