Lol I have never had to chase down my luggage before. By far one of the better experiences with hospitality and overall quality. Rooms were great. Turn down service and daily service are attentive. Also right above the Metro station connects, and a newly built 711, extremely convenient for exploring Japan. There is a few blocks of restaurants to try just by walking distance. The Hie Shrine is actually next to the hotel front doors, you can take a shortcut through it, or just hang out too.

From the moment we arrived, The Capitol Hotel Tokyu impressed us with its exceptional level of service—truly detailed, attentive, and second to none. Every aspect of our stay felt thoughtfully considered, and the care from the staff made a real difference. Our room was a highlight in itself, with an amazing view that made it easy to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere. The hotel is beautifully classy and elegant, while also being wonderfully quiet—perfect for rest and a calm, comfortable stay. Overall, we had a truly exceptional experience, and we’re already looking forward to returning.

Other than the room this hotel has been horrible. My teen cannot use the gym because this hotel does not allow anyone under 18 into the gym, even when accompanied by a guardian which I have never heard of. On top of that the breakfast is just a scam thats how bad it was. I ordered pancakes that came out cold. Every pastry I ate was stale. I am not sure how this place received any Michelin keys, and such a high rating. I would also like to mention the gym staff who were just disrespectful compared to the other staff. Compared to the other hotel in Kyoto I stayed at this department was rough and definitely needs restructuring. I would never recommend this hotel for any families, and would barely recommend this to any of my friends because there are better hotels for the same price nearby. The location also is pretty poor, although it is in a nice area near the emperors palace, there is no shopping, but you are close to the train station which gives you access across the whole city, which is nice. I would also like to mention the noise it is extremely loud as I am writing this on my bed and I am hearing drums and singing outside my room at 8:00 pm which is just not acceptable. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. And I can assure you there are much better places near here for similar prices.
