For a stay where getting there is meant to feel like leaving the ordinary behind. The boat runs to a timetable, so fix your check-in and check-out first and build the sightseeing around them. Not a place to arrive with a lot of luggage.

    An Unforgettable Stay This place is truly magical—peaceful, luxurious, and absolutely beautiful. We had an incredible and wonderfully immersive stay, with a warm and professional welcome that made us feel at home from the very beginning. The only small downside, although really nothing serious, was the lack of a laundry service. Apart from that, everything was perfect. An unforgettable experience that we would highly recommend. We would love to come back! ✨

    For people want to get away from crowded Kyoto and still have all the convenience in and out of Arashiyama, this is the place. Hotel has its own way going in and coming out. Our food allergies have been carefully addressed and meals have been great (although breakfast is a bit weak in protein, haha). We have a nice room with great view, and we are able to calm down as soon as we enter the hotel. And there are great services everywhere. This hotel is definitely worth the money in many aspects and visitors should learn to slow down to enjoy every things this great hotel is offering.

What stood out most was the genuine hospitality — the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.
